Dolet 4 for Finale Frequently Asked Questions
When I try to use Dolet 4 with Finale 2006 on my Intel Mac, it crashes Finale or won't run. What can I do?
Due to Apple's limitations on Rosetta, Dolet 4 for Finale will not run with Finale 2006 and earlier versions on an Intel Mac. You will need to upgrade to Finale 2007 or 2008 to use Dolet 4 for Finale with an Intel Mac.
When I try to use Dolet 4 for Finale on Windows XP, I get a "Java was not initialized correctly" error. What can I do?
This problem is due to a Microsoft issue in earlier versions of their cumulative security updates to Internet Explorer 7 on Windows XP. This issue was fixed in the June 2008 version of this update (KB950759) and in Windows XP SP3. Update your computer system using either of these Windows updates to resolve the problem.

When I try to use Dolet 4 for Finale on Mac OS 10.3.9, it crashes Finale. What can I do?
Apple's update to Mac OS 10.3.9 introduced some problems with Java on some systems which causes this problem. To fix it, update your Java for OS 10.3.9 following the instructions on Apple's web site:

Do not be concerned that the icon for the Dolet 4 plug-in looks different than the icon for the other Finale plug-ins. This is because Dolet 4 for Finale is a Universal plug-in, whereas the other plug-ins are for Power PC only. Your Dolet 4 for Finale installation should work fine once the Java configuration problem is resolved.
When I try to use Dolet 4 for Finale on Mac OS 10.2, it won't show up in the plug-ins menu. What can I do?
The current Dolet 4 for Finale plug-in is a Universal binary, and Universal binary plug-ins are not supported on Mac OS 10.2. To use Dolet for Finale, you need to use the earlier version 3.2 which is for Power PC only. You may download it from:
