Welcome to Recordare® Internet music publishing and software. Recordare (reh-cor-DAH-ray) is Latin for "remember". Internet publishing will allow musical works to be remembered and performed more widely. We believe the key to making digital sheet music popular is to provide it in an open format, usable by as many applications as possible. Our Dolet® software uses the MusicXML™ format to provide a "universal translator" between music notation programs. Our Recordare Editions of classical music are available in MusicXML and other popular formats. We are breaking down the barriers between applications that prevent musicians from getting the most out of their online sheet music. Our Recordare Online Store sells both music software and digital sheet music:
Do you need to do something with your music notation software that nobody else can figure out? Recordare offers music notation software consulting services customized to your needs. If you want to get notation data from one program to another, or do different things with music in Finale and Sibelius than what those programs expect you to do, we can probably help. Check out our automated file translation services to translate between different versions of Finale, Sibelius, and other music software programs. See what our customers say about us. We encourage music software developers to learn more about MusicXML. The current version of the MusicXML document type definition is available, along with a MusicXML tutorial and samples. You may also check our calendar of events and press coverage. You can subscribe to our e-mail list, and we will send you more information about Recordare as it is available.
